Abstract

Introduction

The prevalence of symptoms compatible with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has been previously described.1However, the association between the presence of these symptoms and occult disease activity is less well known, as is the effect of these symptoms on psychological health. We conducted a cross-sectional survey examining these issues.
