Time Course of Acute Reversible Clouding of the Hydrophilic Intraocular Lens
Abstract
During the implantation of the hydrophilic intraocular lens (IOL; Claré, Cristalens Industrie), total clouding was observed (Fig A), and the IOL was removed. The clouding decreased to 3 mm in diameter after 4 hours (Fig B), as revealed by anterior-segment OCT (Fig C). Clouding was less than 1 mm at 8 hours (Fig D), and completely resolved at 24 hours.
