In the current issue of Ophthalmology, Ung et al1 (see page 1266) report on perioperative opioid prescribing in 327 379 opioid-naïve patients, ages ≥13 years, who had incisional ophthalmologic surgical procedures between January 1, 2012, and June 30, 2017.
