Abstract
Sudden cardiac death (SCD) is the most common natural cause of death. The hypothesized mechanism of death is an arrhythmia precipitated by increased sympathetic outflow. The left stellate ganglion provides sympathetic innervation to the heart and plays a role in arrhythmogensis.
