Abstract
Patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) have impaired insulin signaling in the brain. Incretin hormones, including glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), can re-sensitize insulin signaling.
