In chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH), proximal localization of vessel obstructions is associated with poor right ventricular (RV) function compared with distal localization, though pulmonary vascular resistance, vascular compliance, characteristic impedance, and the magnitude of wave reflection are similar.
