A 75-year-old man with known sarcoidosis was admitted with persistent fevers lasting for 3 weeks before admission. Sarcoidosis was diagnosed 3 years previously, and the patient had been treated with steroid therapy. Despite extensive investigation, the origin of his fever remained unknown.
