A semi-interpenetrating polymer network (semi-IPN) superabsorbent hydrogel composite based on starch (St)-graft-poly(acrylic acid (AA)-co-acrylamide (AM))/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) was synthesized using free radical aqueous polymerization method.
