Simple preparation of 58S bioactive glass/polycaprolactone composite scaffolds by freeze-drying under ambient conditions
Abstract
Composite scaffolds were successfully obtained using sol-gel derived 58S bioactive glass particles and poly(e-caprolactone) pellets. Camphene was used as the freezing vehicle. No sintering step was used, which represents a great advantage in terms of energy and time-saving.
