Abstract
The ballistic reliability of composite armors is significantly affected by the random material properties. In this paper, the mosaic SiC ceramics/ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) composite targets with bonding adhesives are tested near the limit ballistic penetration conditions.
