Efficient cyanation of aryl halides with K4[Fe(CN)6] catalyzed by encapsulated palladium nanoparticles in biguanidine–chitosan matrix as core–shell recyclable heterogeneous nanocatalyst
Abstract
Palladium nanoparticles encapsulated in biguanidine–functionalized chitosan matrix ([email protected]–biguanidine) was applied as a reusable and core–shell nanocatalyst for cyanation of aryl iodides and bromides with K4[Fe(CN)6] as the cyanating agent. The nitriles were generated in good to excellent yield and the catalyst can be recycled and reapplied up to seven times with no significant change in its catalytic...
