Abstract
A new halogen-free and formaldehyde-free ammonium salt of melamine hexa(methylphosphonic acid) (AMHMPA) was facilely synthesized as flame retardant (FR) material under water-solvent and low temperature condition to counter inflammable cotton fabric fire hazard.
