Abstract
An efficient organocatalytic oxidation of racemic secondary alcohols, mediated by sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and 2‐azaadamantane N ‐oxyl (AZADO), has been conveniently coupled with a highly stereoselective bioreduction of the intermediate ketone, catalyzed by ketoreductases, in aqueous medium.
