The micro-groove array structure was processed by high speed precision micro-milling machine on the aluminum alloy surface. The direct relationship that milling parameters influence the surface roughness and surface burr were studied when milling the aluminum alloy surface by using micro-diameter milling cutter with a diameter of 150μm. And then the microstructure which was processed by using optimal parameters and the hydrophobic properties of aluminum alloy surface were observed. The results show that: High speed precision micro-milling machining parameters have a certain effect on surface roughness and surface burrs, and the effects of different milling parameters are different. The micro-groove array structure which was processed on the smooth aluminum alloy surface the intrinsic contact Angle is about 62° can effectively improve material surface hydrophobic properties. The contact angle of micro-groove array is 91° in the parallel direction, and 123° in the vertical direction without the chemical modification, respectively. The microstructure array was constructed on the surface of metal materials based on high speed precision micro-milling technique, and the surface wettability of the material was transformed by hydrophilic to hydrophobic.
