Abstract
A 70-year-old woman complained of a dry mouth and swelling in the area of the left parotid gland for 6 years, and was admitted for evaluation of an abnormal shadow on chest X-ray film. She underwent a lip biopsy and a 99mTcO4- scintigram of the salivary gland, and Sjögren's syndrome was diagnosed.
