Abstract
Hyperglycemia-induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis contributes to diabetic cardiomyopathy. Glucagon-like peptide-1 (Glp1) receptor (Glp1r) agonists improve cardiac function and survival in response to ischemia-reperfusion and myocardial infarction.
