Upgrading Pyrolysis Oil over Ni/HZSM‐5 by Cascade Reactions

Bio-oil to hydrocarbon oil: An active, selective, and stable catalyst (Ni supported in zeolite HZSM-5) allows the conversion of a wide variety of CO and CO bonds in n-hexane-extracted pyrolysis oil into hydrocarbons through a cascade of hydrogenation, hydrolysis, dehydration, and dehydroaromatization reactions.
