Abstract
Rhizobium japonicum and Azotobacter chroococcum are known to be symbiotic and non symbiotic nitrogen fixing strains respectively. The main aim behind mixed inoculation is to achieve enhanced nodulation and grain production using gum as carrier rather than lignite .
