Abstract
Novel hybrid hydrogel was synthesized from chitin NaOH/urea aqueous solution in presence of halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) via crosslinking with epichlorohydrin. Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra and atomic force microscopy (AFM) results confirmed the interfacial interactions in the chitin-HNTs hybrid hydrogel.
