Microwave assisted extraction (MAE) was investigated for extraction of total phenolic compounds (TPC expressed as gallic acid equivalents GAE) from the leaves of Pistacia lentiscus L. with maximized total phenolic yield using response surface methodology (RSM) coupled with a Box–Behnken design.
