Abstract
: Compton scattering in dense electron gases is reviewed. The processes of Compton scattering are incorporated into the development of an analytic expression for the scattering kernel. The kernel is good for electron and photon energies in the KeV regime. The kernel is in turn used to compute angle averaged differential Compton cross sections.
