In ISAR-REACT-4 (abciximab and heparin vs. bivalirudin for non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction [NSTEMI]), bivalirudin reduced the risk of bleeding after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) compared with unfractionated heparin plus abciximab (UFH + abciximab).
