Abstract
We investigate the transmission of localized waves through a dual-power law medium exhibiting the perturbations including the inter-modal dispersion, self-steepening, and self-frequency shift effects. A novel class of nonlinear waves that are periodic wave, kink soliton, algebraic soliton and bright soliton, along with the corresponding chirping, are reported.
