A fiber Bragg grating accelerometer based on Y-shaped symmetrical beam structure
Abstract
A novel fiber Bragg grating (FBG) accelerometer is proposed. The accelerometer is based on a compact symmetrical structure consisting of a Y-shaped beam and an FBG. The mechanical model and sensing principle of the accelerometer are well illustrated. Then, the structural parameters are numerically studied.
