• Novel cyan-emitting RaBa 2 (PO 3 ) 5 : Eu 2+ phosphor with broad emission band was synthesized via solid-state reaction. • The RaBa 2 (PO 3 ) 5 : Eu 2+ phosphor shows the robust thermal stability with a high Δ E of 0.435 eV. • A white LED lamp has been fabricated and can emit favorable white light.
