Immunotherapy has revolutionized cancer treatment. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) including antibodies targeting cytotoxic T lymphocyte associated antigen‑4 and programmed cell death 1 have been shown to be effective in the treatment of certain types of cancer.
