Abstract
An efficient crack propagation (CP) simulation system based on a shell-solid finite element (FE) modeling is newly established. Three-dimensional (3D) CP simulation for a curvilinearly propagating surface crack in a steel circular hollow section (CHS) T-joint is carried out.
