Abstract
A novel method was developed via the continuous refinement of grains to prepare an Mg–6.5Y–1.2Er–1.6Zn (wt.%) alloy with a ductility of 35% and an ultimate tensile strength of 377 MPa. It involved the use of a 32-pass equal-channel angular pressing process.
