Abstract
Dissimilar joints of copper and aluminium alloy were generated by electric current assisted ultrasonic welding (EUSW). The microstructure characteristics and mechanical properties of Cu/Al EUSW joints were systematically investigated. The electric current promoted the plastic flow at the welding interface.
