Prevalence of Haemonchus contortus and other Gastrointestinal nematodes in different sheep breeds of Odisha
Abstract
The present study aims to investigate the prevalence of GI nematodes in sheep breeds of Odisha with respect to different risk factors. A total of 701 faecal samples collected from different sheep breeds available in Odisha were examined for a period of one year (January to December, 2019) which revealed overall prevalence of gastrointestinal nematodes was 61.20% of which Strongyles were dominant (72.22%) followed by Strongyloides sp.
