Abstract
To improve the hydrophilicity of cyclic olefin copolymer, a simple and rapid method using two-stage with ultraviolet irradiation was developed in order to graft a bioactive polymer on the surface of these polymers. A bioactive polymer, poly(sodium styrene sulfonate) was grafting in two steps on the cyclic olefin copolymer surface.
