Abstract
Background: Tuberculosis (TB) and sarcoidosis are two chronic, systemic, and granulomatous diseases that have similar pulmonary and extrapulmonary manifestations. Given the similarities between the two diseases, it is suggested that the Mycobacterium genome may play a role in sarcoidosis.
