Abstract
• Phlorotannin, alginate and fucoidan were extracted successively from the blade and stipe samples of two Sargassum seaweeds and Eisenia arborea thallus. • Phlorotannins of blade samples and alginate and fucoidan of stipes had the highest bioactivities (antioxidant and anti-hyaluronidase). • In stipe samples, alginate possessed more guluronic acids and fucoidan had higher sulfate content. • The different compositions of these compounds in the...
