Abstract
This study investigates the wave dissipation properties of continuous metamaterial beam structures with embedded inerter-based devices and possible negative-stiffness elements. The vibration attenuation performance of using inerters is evaluated by examining the system frequency response functions and the propagating wave damping ratios. The results show that the response amplitude can be significantly reduced in the targeted frequency ranges....
