Second-Order Josephson Effect in Excitonic Insulators
Abstract
We show that in electron-hole bilayers with excitonic orders arising from conduction and valence bands formed by atomic orbitals that have different parities, nonzero interlayer tunneling leads to a second-order Josephson effect.
