Abstract
Long-term potentiation (LTP) is a molecular basis of memory formation. Here, we demonstrate that LTP critically depends on fructose 1,6-bisphosphatase 2 (Fbp2)—a glyconeogenic enzyme and moonlighting protein protecting mitochondria against stress.
