Paxiiones A–D, four new flavonoids from the stem of Mallotus paxii Pamp.

Phytochemical investigation of the stems of Mallotus paxii Pamp., which are used for traditional Chinese medicinal treatment of viral infections in China, led to the isolation of four new flavonoids, paxiiones, A–D (1-4).
