Abstract
An algorithm is proposed for ad hoc wireless networks with environmental effects such as shadowing and fading, to extend the operation lifetime and energy of the network. The main aim is to maximize the lifetime of sensors covering a number of targeted zones, by sharing subsets to remove redundancies.
