Abstract
The adhesively bonded 3-point bending specimen was employed for obtaining bilinear elastic-plastic approximations to the shear stress-strain behaviour of a common acrylic adhesive. The parameters of those approximations were quickly obtained from two simplified versions of a previously developed beam model.
