Abstract
The activated alkynes have been used successfully for the first time as the dipolarophile in the palladium-catalyzed asymmetric (3 + 2) cycloaddition, affording highly functionalized cyclopentenes in good to high yields with high chemoselectivities and good to high enantioselectivities.
