A reagentless aptasensor based on intrinsic aptamer redox activity for the detection of tetracycline in water
Abstract
A label-free electrochemical aptasensor was fabricated for reagentless determination of tetracycline (TET) in water. A 5′-amino-modified 76-mer oligonucleotide was immobilized on screen-printed carbon electrode via carbodimide coupling. Cyclic voltammetry experiments revealed an unexpected electroactivity of immobilized aptamer, showing a quasi-reversible signal with oxidation and reduction peaks at respectively +0.19 and −0.25 V vs Ag/AgCl.
