Abstract
Biodegradable polymer polyhydroxyalkanoates are one of the promising alternatives for conventional plastics. The present article focuses on a modified and novel method for the synthesis of poly (3‐hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) by two microorganisms, viz. Bacillus megaterium and Cupriavidus necator .
