Significance We propose a platform of quantum computation using the chiral Majorana fermions on the edges of topological materials. The quantum gates are naturally accomplished by the propagation of chiral Majorana fermions. If realized, its computation speed can be <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" overflow="scroll"> <mml:mn>1</mml:mn> <mml:msup> <mml:mrow> <mml:mn>0</mml:mn> </mml:mrow> <mml:mrow> <mml:mn>3</mml:mn> </mml:mrow> </mml:msup> </mml:math> faster than the currently existing quantum computation schemes.
