Precise half-life measurement of the superallowed emitter S30

We have measured the half-life of ^{30}\mathrm{S} the parent of a superallowed {0}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{0}^{+}\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}\ensuremath{\beta}transition, to a high precision using very pure sources and a 4\ensuremath{\pi}proportional gas counter to detect the decay positrons.
