Abstract
Experimental techniques have been developed to measure two poroelastic parameters: unjacketed bulk modulus Ks′ and unjacketed pore modulus Ks″. Ks′ is measured on samples with no jacket that are instrumented with strain gages, confining fluid (oil) penetrates inside the material and hydrostatic mean stress is equal to pore pressure, so the overal unjacketed bulk modulus can be calculated.
