Abstract
Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (herein called NMO) is an autoimmune inflammatory disease of the central nervous system in which immunoglobulin G antibodies against astrocyte water channel aquaporin-4 (AQP4-IgG) cause demyelination and neurological deficit.
