This study examined the role of alpha-synuclein in regulating cadmium (Cd)-induced neurotoxicity using the N27 dopaminergic neuronal model of Parkinson’s disease (PD) that stably expresses wild-type human α-synuclein (α-Syn) or empty vector (Vec) control.
