Graphene-coated tetrapod ZnO whisker (T-ZnO) hybrids are fabricated by chemical modification of T-ZnO with an aminosilane, covalent coating with graphene oxide (GO) sheets, and reduction of the GO component by UV irradiation or thermal annealing.
