Abstract
Surgery for femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) has been advocated for correction of cam and pincer hip joint morphology. Surgery for FAI was first pioneered by Myers et al, who surgically treated FAI by open dislocation. Arthroscopy was then introduced in 2005 by Sampson.
