EUS-guided trans-aortic fine-needle aspiration for intra-abdominal plasmacytoma in a patient with multiple myeloma
Abstract
A 78-year-old man was admitted to our hospital reporting chest wall pain. Radiographs showed multifocal rib fractures, and the results of laboratory tests, serum electrophoresis, and bone marrow biopsies led to a diagnosis of plasma cell myeloma. A positron emission tomography scan showed multiple hypermetabolic enlarged lymph nodes in the left para-aortic areas.
